Women’s City Club
Club History
The Women’s City Club was founded in 1954 and has been the signature organization for women in Delaware ever since. The organization flourished in the 1960's and 70's with over 300 members. Today membership remains under 100. In recent years the club has enjoyed a renaissance, with present members forming exciting plans for additional programming and services to help our women gain self-sufficiency. Club members help raise funds for maintenance of the house through a number of activities. Recent projects include selling homemade buckeyes, a porch sale, creation of a bicentennial cookbook, and presentation of the Princess Tea - a magical fairy-tale come true for a little princess and her escort. Whatever your interest or talent, the City Club provides an opportunity for you to enjoy fellowship while helping provide means for us to house women who need our support.
