Our Mission: The Women's City Club of Delaware is a not-for-profit service organization.  We are dedicated to providing a safe, affordable and nurturing home for single working women of low income as they transition towards a self-supporting future.

About Us: Membership is open to women who are interested in making a difference in a volunteer-based organization.  We are self-funded, so any improvements or repairs to our house come from City Club events and support from our community.  Founder Zuilla Way was known for rolling up her shirtsleeves, and now, 60 years later, we still do the same.  Our members range in age from the 20's to the 90's.

Monthly Meetings: Join us for our monthly dinner meeting the third Tuesday of each month.  Members gather at a restaurant or the clubhouse at 6:15 pm with dinner or dessert commencing at 6:30 pm.  Programs begin directly after dinner and the evening closes with a brief business meeting.  RSVP to info@wccdelaware.org if you are interested in attending a meeting or receiving further information.

Facility Rentals:

Looking for a facility for your next event? The first floor of the Women’s City Club house is available to rent for parties, receptions, weddings, and meetings.  Catering and kitchen facilities are also available for an additional fee.  Our Victorian themed parlor and dining room will provide a beautiful and intimate setting for an event.  Guests may also enjoy sipping lemonade on the front porch on a warm day.  Our building is handicapped accessible (although our bathroom is not).

Providing affordable Housing for women in Delaware  since 1954

Women's City Club

Welcome to the Women's City Club

For Sixty years, we have provided women in our community with affordable housing. We serve low income, single women who often fall through the cracks of the social service safety net. Sometimes, we are the only difference between sleeping in a car, and a warm bed. Women's City Club has ten rooms available to rent at a modest price.   Our events and fundraisers enable us to provide these women with a safe and clean place to live when they often have no other place to go.
